Harissa Honey Glazed Brussels Sprouts

Experience a flavorful twist on Brussels sprouts with a sweet and spicy harissa honey glaze that will transform this humble vegetable into a spectacular side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 15-20 minutes or until they start to become tender.
  4. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the harissa paste, honey, balsamic vinegar, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth.
  5. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle the harissa honey glaze over them. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Return to the oven and roast for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the Brussels sprouts are caramelized and crispy.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
