The Abyss 2018 Reserve

My review

Imperial Stout brewed with blackstrap molasses and licorice, dry spiced with Cherry Bark and vanilla bean, 50% aged in Bourbon, wine, and new Oregon Oak barrels.

The beer is very dark even the foam is a rich deep Brown. The flavors are more subtle than I expected however there is an underlying Rich death to the flavor.

This beer is 11% alcohol and the bottle was about $18 from Whole Foods. Definitely not something you want everyday but with the holidays coming up this may be the very beer that you're looking for.
