Spicy Thai Basil Chicken Stir-Fry

Experience the vibrant flavors of Thailand with this quick and easy Spicy Thai Basil Chicken Stir-Fry. This dish brings together tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and aromatic herbs in a delightful symphony of taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Thai chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Cooked jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and Thai chilies, stirring until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Increase the heat to high and add the sliced chicken thighs. Stir-fry until the chicken is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the red bell pepper and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium, then add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Stir well to coat the chicken and vegetables evenly.
  6. Toss in the fresh Thai basil leaves and stir until they are just wilted, about 1 minute.
