Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients
- garlic
- ground beef
- onion
- peanuts
- lettuce wrap lettuce
- soy sauce
- rice wine vinegar
- chili pepper
- sesame seed oil
- water chestnuts
Instructions
1. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon avocado oil.
2. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 finely chopped onion to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
3. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
4. Stir in 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar, and 1 finely chopped chili pepper.
5. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the liquid reduces slightly and the flavors combine.
6. Add 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts and stir well to combine.
7. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
8. Spoon the beef mixture into individual lettuce leaves (butter or bibb lettuce works best).
9. Serve immediately.
