I just released a new Chrome extension called Keyboard Link Navigation. It lets you navigate websites and click links or buttons without reaching for your mouse.
Press the / key to open the search box, then start typing the visible text of the link or button you want. Matching items are highlighted in orange, and you can press Enter to open the current match. If several items match, press / again to cycle through them. Press Escape to cancel.
This is especially useful on search results, documentation, GitHub, Wikipedia, and other pages with a lot of links. Instead of tabbing through every item or moving your cursor around, you can type part of a link’s name and jump directly to it.
The extension searches visible links, buttons, and other clickable elements. It also includes a small dark-mode display showing your search and the number of matches.
Everything runs locally in Chrome. The extension does not collect data, use analytics, or track your browsing history.
If you prefer keyboard-driven navigation—or simply want a faster way to move around the web—give it a try.
